OpenIRIS.org is the new home for the open source IRIS development effort

Fri, Nov 4th, Menlo Park -- In anticipation of the upcoming open source release of IRIS, the machine learning-based semantic desktop, OpenIRIS.org opened today with the purpose of becoming the hub for the IRIS development community.

Currently, the website features general information about IRIS, and a number of screenshots that gives a taste of what IRIS is like. It also hosts the IRIS Dev Blog, and a technical publication about IRIS and related subjects.

The IRIS open source release is scheduled for January 2006.
